HotOffice.com Unveils New Look With Increased Speed, Ease of Use

BOCA RATON, FL (July 12, 2000) - As part of its ongoing effort to provide the most intuitive and easy-to-use virtual office for small businesses, HotOffice.com announces a new look for the HotOffice® Web-Based Intranet Service that delivers greater speed and increased ease of use. Customers logging on to their private HotOffice intranets will discover visual improvements, new shortcuts and a reorganization of features that will simplify navigation through the site and give one-click access to key actions.

The changes enhance navigation among core product features, support services, third-party business services and application downloads. HotOffice.com has created shortcuts and eliminated unnecessary steps for customers to reach their favorite features from anywhere in their virtual office. The number of frames has dropped from 13 to only four, reducing the number of hits to the HotOffice.com servers and making navigation faster than before. This is particularly important to customers with slower dial-up connections because they can enjoy the efficiency of a virtual office without having to invest in an expensive telecommunications infrastructure.

HotOffice.com improved its application's navigation in response to customer feedback, which was integrated with the results of studies conducted by Human Factors International (HFI), a leading firm providing software usability research and solutions. Said HFI senior specialist Ross Moser, "Application providers sometimes don't examine user skill levels and the way people intuitively navigate through a site. HotOffice.com is a leader in its field because it understands and responds to users' real needs by adapting the product to be more ergonomic.

"The site's new look is an example of how we continually strive to offer our small-business customers the most intuitive and seamless operation of their virtual office," said HotOffice.com chairman and CEO Mike Franz.
