| HotOffice Technologies Strengthens Management Team BOCA RATON, FL (Mar. 6, 2000) - HotOffice Technologies (www.hotoffice.com) today announced that it has appointed Norman G. Mainer as vice president, technology. Bringing twenty years of technology strategy, design, and deployment experience to HotOffice, Mainer will be responsible for product development and the overall technical direction of the company's award-winning virtual office service. "Norman brings tremendous technical depth to our leadership team and we're pleased to have him on board," said R. Michael Franz, chairman and CEO of HotOffice Technologies, Inc. His immediate contributions in scaling our technology infrastructure to handle our record company signups since the launch of our free, advertising-supported service in January is a testament to Norman's technical management strengths." Mainer brings with him two decades of experience in leading-edge technology design and delivery. For the last eleven years he has served in senior-level technical management and consulting capacities at Fortune 500 firms, including AT&T Wireless, Nike, Visa International and Columbia Health Care. Mainer has been responsible for designing, implementing and running sophisticated, high-volume, mission-critical Web and client/server applications in complex finance, telephony/telecom, manufacturing and real-time process control, wholesale distribution, document management, retail point-of-sale, health services and insurance environments. Most recently, Mainer was chief technical officer and vice president, engineering at Interactive Search, Inc., a leader in on-line recruiting and staffing solutions. His prior experience also includes serving as vice president of architecture and technologies for Wells Fargo Bank and as the senior technical manager for the Revelation and Advanced Revelation database products. Mainer's technical skills include extensive knowledge of DBMS engine design, compiler design, construction of code generators and other CASE tools, API and gateway software design, knowledge engineering and automated SQA tools development. He has extensive hands-on experience in large-scale database implementation and the manipulation of semi and un-structured data, and has been responsible for several innovative advances in these areas.
